Thanksgiving 2010

I'm late to post these so I'm going to be lazy and post a link. We had a great trip to Tennessee and are so glad that is where we get to visit Mom & Dad now!

9 Months

It's so hard to believe my big boy is 9 months old already! I can already see that he is going to be eating us out of house and home! He definitely loves his food. He makes a Mmmm sound with EVERY bite!
He seems to have no interest in crawling. Emerson never did crawl but I thought sure he would. There's still time though. Right now he's content to roll around.
We've had a lot of fun this month. Here are some of the highlights:

I had dressed Beckett for the day and Emerson had to put on these pajamas to match him.

The one thing Emerson has talked about since I was pregnant is taking a bath with Beckett. She finally got to splash with him the other day and she loved it! I'm pretty sure he did too.

We participated in the Light the Night walk with Westwood. We enjoyed being outside and especially supporting such a great cause that means so much to so many people we know.

We went to see Disney on Ice - Princess Wishes with Sandi, Katie Beth, Jamie & Brooklyn. Emerson had a blast!

While Greg, Sandi, Matt & I went to the Catalyst conference, Mason, Katie Beth and Emerson stayed with Papa & Nana at their new house. They got to do a lot of fun things like hike in the mountains and go to a really neat festival.

Grand "D" (JoEtte) took us to Mark's Melon Patch. We had a lot of fun walking through the sunflowers, pumpkins and beautiful flowers. Thanks Grand D!

Emerson is such a great big sister. She loves her brother and is always wanting to take care of him. The other day, out of the blue, she asked if she could feed Beckett. So, I found something that wouldn't fall off of the spoon too easily and she went to town. She had only fed him one or two times before this. I think she did a great job! She going to be a great mother!

It's so hard to believe that Beckett is already 7 month old already! He got his first tooth today and is growing so fast.

Last Trip to Mississippi

We took a final trip to Vicksburg, MS last week to help Mom & Dad pack up. They are moving Saturday to Maryville, TN. We moved to MS when I was in the 8th grade and I graduated high school there. It's a little weird knowing that I might not ever go back, but I am so excited for Mom and Dad to start their next journey. They bought a brand new house (which they have never done before) and are so excited about it.
We had a great trip there and got to see a lot of familiar faces. They will be missed!

Katie Beth told Sandi before we left that she was looking forward to taking care of Beckett while we were there. She definitely did. She was a great help!

Beckett's personality is really starting to come out and he is a lot of fun. He loves to laugh! Here are a few clips of him laughing. Matt found a new tickle spot and he lets out a pretty funny laugh when he gets it.

5 months old

Of course this is late again, but the picture was taken on the right date if that counts for anything. It's so hard to believe that 5 months has passed already. Beckett is getting so big and doing so many new things everyday. He has loved eating cereal so much that we are getting ready to start baby food already. I think he is going to be a big eater and is turning into quite the chunk! Here are a few pictures from the last month.

Surprise Visit to Nashville

Last weekend we went to Nashville to celebrate with Matt's brother, Brent, as he graduated with his MBA. Brent's wife, Julie, was the only one who knew we were coming so we got to surprise Brent and their parents. I think the picture below is priceless. They were shocked! We had a great weekend and were so glad we got to go.

We got to borrow some toys from a neighbor of Brent & Julie's. This wooden food was a hit! She played with it constantly.
