Beckett will be here tomorrow!

Here is a picture from today, the day before Beckett arrives. I am so grateful that I am feeling so good. He is definitely pushing on my ribs pretty hard at times but I am trying to soak up the last few moments of those incredible feelings. We are so excited and can't wait to meet him! Emerson is not one who likes to take pictures, but she did pretty well and I think we got some good ones. It' s hard to believe he will be here in 6 days (Jan. 26th), but we are so excited and can't wait to meet him.Please keep us in your prayers as this transition will be interesting at times. Emerson seems ready and excited but we will see!

Emerson's 3rd Birthday Party

Emerson got to have her birthday party on her actual birthday this year. We did a Dora party. She did so much better than last year and actually enjoyed opening presents. How nice! We kept it small since that is what best suits her and I think she had a really good time.

Her "soccer shoes". She wants to wear them ALL the time. If you ask her to get her shoes she says, "They're not shoes, they're soccer shoes!" And when she and her Daddy play soccer she has to have them on. Too cute!

Emerson's Artwork

Emerson has been taking fewer naps lately. She has learned that she at least has to stay in her room and rest/entertain herself for a little while. Well, Thursday was one of those days. She had not been able to go to sleep so she found a way of entertaining herself alright! Somewhere in her closet she came upon a purple marker and proceeded to draw...on everything!

Her Mimi is quite proud of her skills. Her Dad and Mom on the other hand don't really care how good the drawings might be.

Everything seemed to clean up well and hopefully she understands now that this will never happen again! Let's hope so at least!

By the way, we have had quite a few laughs. It is pretty funny!

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas this morning! We stayed in Albany since it is close to my due date, so we were here by ourselves. It has been fun being just the three of us. We are trying to soak up every minute we can since the time of us being a family of three is ending soon. Here are a few pictures from our Christmas.

34 weeks

For those of you who don't see me very often, here is a picture of me at 34 weeks pregnant. Not much longer and Beckett will be here! We are getting the room painted and trying to put everything in its place. We can't wait to meet him!

Thanksgiving 2009

For Thanksgiving this year we got to go see Matt's parents in Snyder, TX. We flew out there and this was Emerson's first time to be on an airplane. She did great and she loved it. Brent and Julie flew out too and Papaw and Charlotte came over from Eastland. We flew into Midland so we got a chance to see Matt's other set of grandparents and some of that family was able to come for Thanksgiving dinner also.
It had been since last Christmas since Emerson had seen Pappaw, Mimi, Uncle Brent and Tia Julie. Thank goodness for web cams and that we had been using them because she didn't miss a beat and started playing with them immediately! Speaking of Pappaw, his name seems to have morphed. When we left it had turned into Bappop so who knows what he will really be called!

While we were there we got to see some brand new goats. These two little ones were two days old! They were so cute!
