Egg Hunt in the Back Yard

Emerson had fun hunting for eggs in our backyard. After we had one round of finding them I had to go in and take care of Beckett, but that didn't stop her. She went around and hid and found them again.

Westwood's Easter Eggstravaganza!

We had lots of fun at Westwood's Easter Egg Hunt. Emerson had fun on the blow-up slide and hunting for eggs. I'm pretty sure Beckett slept through the whole thing!

Hunting eggs with a little help from Grand D. She was a little more concerned about where the Easter Bunny was than where the eggs were. She kept her eyes on him the whole time and made sure she kept her distance.

She found one of the silver eggs (with a little help from Grand D). Contents: $2!

More visitors

Pappaw and Mimi got to come to Georgia and meet Beckett on Mimi's spring break. They got lots of good Beckett lovin' time in and I'm pretty sure Emerson wore them out playing hard! Pappaw's name has gone through quite an evolution. He changed it a few times even before Emerson was born and now Emerson has changed it a few times too. She got so confused this time, that one time she looked at him trying to figure out what to call him and said, "whatever I call you". It seems to be a pretty consistent Pawpaw now. Hope that works for him.
While they were here we took a trip downtown to see the Riverquarium. Uncle Brent and Tia Julie got to come for the weekend too.

Two Months Old

Can you believe Beckett is two months old already! He is growing so fast. We have his two month appointment this week, so no stats update yet. Keep watching as he grows!

At the rate he is growing, he will be holding her before long!

One Month Old

It's hard to believe that Beckett is already one month old! I know it will keep going by so fast, so we are just trying to soak up every minute.
He is doing great and Emerson is in love. We were eating lunch today and randomly she said to me, "Thank you for letting Beckett come out of your tummy. I'm glad my brother is at home with my family. With you and Daddy and me and Brooks." Is that not the cutest! She is so sweet to him and always checking on him.
This lion looks so huge next to him right now, but it won't take long for him to be the bigger one.

Snow in Albany!

Ok, so a little late with the snow pictures, but at least I finally got to them. We had to wake Emerson up from her nap to go play out in the snow. It started getting dark fast, so I didn't get a lot of great pictures but we had lots of fun! We built a snowman and used the Mrs. Potato Head pieces to decorate it. Emerson had a lot of fun. Hopefully she will be able to remember it because it probably won't happen again anytime soon!

Beckett Andrew Matthews is here!

Beckett Andrew Matthews was born January 26, 2010 at 9:33 am weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. We are home and doing well. Emerson seems to be adjusting great. No bumps so far. We are loving life with our new little man around here.
